GLASGOW AQUARIUM

This was a successful concept design for an Aquarium in the City of Glasgow on the banks of the River Clyde.The scheme was designed as a major visitor attraction interpreting the marine and freshwater life of Scotland. Designed to appeal to all ages, its main aims were to educate and entertain but above all to raise public awareness about water based environments.

The scheme was designed on a nautical theme to reflect its riverside context and consisted of a 2 storey central core projecting over the river containing, Cafe Reception and information and two aquarium wings displaying the water life of Scotland and the rest of the World.
