Pride Park essentially a new Business Park, lies to the East of Derby City Centre bounded by the River Derwent to the North and the Derby/London Railway to the South. The Club's relocation there acted as a major spur for the development of the area.

The Stadium is a significant structure when viewed from either the A52 approach to the City or from the A6 link through Pride Park and provides a strong visual landmark for the City of Derby. The Stadium was given a Derby Civic Pride Award in 1997.
