NEWLANDS LAWN TENNIS CLUB , GLASGOW

The Miller Partnership designed a new indoor Tennis Centre at Newlands Tennis Club.

The Principal facilities provided are:New purpose built 4 court indoor tennis centre to complement existing club facilities. Access to proposed centre via a new link block, incorporating a gym facility and providing secure access to the outdoor tennis club. A central raised viewing platform to allow spectators the opportunity to view all four courts. A new junior tennis zone external to the centre. The practice worked closely with club officials visiting various centres to establish the brief and assisting the committee in satisfying the requirements of sportscotland and the LTA in providing adequate facilities and achieving the requirement for substantial grant assistance.
