We were initially appointed by the Club to produce a concept design for the new 40,000 capacity Stadium of Light sited on the former Wearmouth Colliery on the banks of the River Wear. This involved a bowl stadium with a 2 tier West Stand housing the Club facilities.

To further increase the capacity to 48,300 we were involved in the design of an upper deck for the North Stand including an impressive Supporters Bar with pitchside view. We are currently designing a further deck for the South Stand to bring the stadium capacity up to 55,500.
